Ultrasound

Ultrasound imaging (sonography) uses the inside of the body to display high-frequency sound waves. Since ultrasound images are taken in real-time, movement of the internal organs of the body as well as blood flowing through the blood vessels can also be seen. There is no ionising radiation exposure associated with ultrasound imaging, unlike X-ray imaging.
